Baker |

Judith
Baker, Director of Family Resources Program,
has over thirty years in the early childhood field with thirty-two
years at South of Market Child Care, Inc. She has an M.A.
in Early Childhood Education, a Standard Teaching Credential,
a Life Children's Center Supervision Permit, and is a certified
trainer with the Program for Infant /Toddler Caregiving. She
is an active member with a number of community organizations
including: Child Care Provider's Association, National Association
for the Education of Young Children, SOMA Youth Committee,
Yerba Buena Consortium. Judith is also a mother of a daughter
attending Sacramento State University, majoring in social
work.

Helen Blain |
Helen Blain, Education Supervisor, began at South of Market Child Care in Sept of 2001. She has 6 years prior experience in the preschool program setting. Helen has a BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley, and is currently working on a master program in Early Childhood Education at SF State University. She holds a State of California State Supervisor Permit. She's bilingual in English and Korean.

Associate Credential with 31 early childhood education units.
Prior to coming to YBG, she worked with the Head Start program
for 20 years. Her daughter is also a child care teacher.

Teacher, Judith Baker Center:
Terry
Fontanello,
has been working at SOMACC since 1984 when she became a resident
of San Francisco. She has a BA in Psychology and Child Development
and a Children's Center Supervision Permit. Her emphasis is
on individualized programs and services for each child. She
has seen children grow up and return to us as volunteers in
the classroom.

Worker, Judith Baker Center:
Visie
Millares. We contract with Catholic
Charities for Visie's services. She has over twenty-five years
working with that agency and is bilingual in Pilipino and
English. She facilitates Pilipino
Parenting Classes and Support Groups at Clementina Child
Development Center and in the community. She is the mother
of two daughters.
