of Market Child Care
Who We Serve
A
good start in life means quality care during early childhood.
South
of Market Child Care, Inc. has served families from
all walks of life. In its 30 year history, the focus
has been to meet the special needs of families from
the South of Market Area and the Tenderloin and those
who work in downtown San Francisco . Services have been
provided for:
- Low-income
South of Market families through various subsidy programs
and services
- Families
with parents working in the Yerba Buena Gardens and
downtown area
- Parents
in job training
- Families
in transition (i.e. homeless, foster care, etc.)
- New
immigrants
- Parents
receiving priority enrollment through employment at
AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and IBM.
Subsidies
and fundraising have helped most of these families take
advantage of the multi-lingual education, parent groups,
and social services offered.
